Fort Saint Louis

The inside of the fort is reached by the Boulevard de Blénac with its extension, the Boulevard de Baas until the entrance of the royal bastion. The Route Dauphine leads to the back entrance of Aublimont barracks. The Porte de Blénac and the Porte de Baas open the fort to the outside. There are several buildings inside the fort such as the Aycard pavillion and Delacost pavillion. The site has been classified as a historical monument since 15 March 1973. A naval military base, the site was only open to the public for guided tours, as well as on National Navy day in April and on the heritage days in September. Since 20 July 2014, the fort has been open to the public every day.
